Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring that we provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with both staff and parents.

Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery. Drive initiatives that promote high standards of care and education for children. Manage staff performance, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe environment for children. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that cater to various developmental needs. Maintain accurate records related to children's development and nursery operations. Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Skills

Proven leadership abilities with a drive to inspire and motivate a team. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of nursery management practices and regulatory requirements is advantageous. A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young children.

This role will be between 37-40 hours per week.

Pay: Up to 13.47 per hour
