Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall management and operation of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Manager to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.

Responsibilities

Assist in the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies. Support the development and implementation of educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork and communication. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, promoting a welcoming atmosphere within the nursery. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and maintain accurate records. Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff members. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning. Handle administrative tasks as required, including scheduling and reporting.

Skills

Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills. Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education or nursery environments. Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices in child development. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. A nurturing attitude towards children combined with a professional approach to management.
