We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join a lovely Nursery. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for early childhood education. The Deputy Manager will assist in managing staff, engaging with parents, and promoting the overall development of children in our care.

Duties

Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day management of the nursery. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for childcare. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes children's learning and development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns. Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programmes tailored to children's needs. Manage staff performance through regular supervision, training, and support. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided at the nursery. Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.

Experience

Previous experience in a childcare setting is essential, with a focus on early childhood education. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Experience working with children and an understanding of their developmental needs. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. A background in nursery management or similar roles would be advantageous.
