Summary

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our team at Cavendish Lodge Nursery School. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the management of our nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and educational experiences that align with our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations and staff management. Support the planning and implementation of engaging educational programs for children. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of care. Foster a positive environment that encourages children's development and learning. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

Qualified in Early Childhood Education or related field. Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting, ideally in a leadership role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively and drive team performance. Passion for working with children and fostering their development. This role has some physical demands, such as prolonged periods of time sitting on the floor and/or standing. You may need to change position quickly and lift and carry children up to around 20kg or more in some circumstances. The Nursery environment is fast-paced and often demanding. The successful candidate will be someone who thrives under pressure, is able to react quickly to changing priorities, and takes a flexible and proactive approach to problem solving.
