Purpose of Role

To support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and learning for all children. To deputise for the Nursery Manager as required and help lead a motivated, high-performing team. This role is for someone seeking

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management:

Assist the Nursery Manager in managing staff and nursery operations. Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence, making operational decisions as required. Support staff development, including mentoring, supervision, and performance monitoring. Promote a positive team culture and professional environment.

Childcare & Learning:

Ensure children receive high-quality care and education in line with Montessori principles and the EYFS. Plan, implement, and review activities to support children's learning and development. Monitor individual children's progress and well-being. Maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, addressing any concerns promptly.

Operations & Compliance:

Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, health & safety, and safeguarding requirements. Assist with administrative tasks, including records, registers, and reporting. Support special projects or initiatives as required.
Person Specification

Essential:

Level 3 or Montessori qualification with relevant experience. Strong communication skills with staff, children, and parents. Proven ability to work in a nursery environment and support a team. Desire for long-term, all-year-round work.

Desirable:

Good IT skills for administrative and reporting tasks.

Hours

Full-time:

7:30am - 7:00pm (40 hours per week)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
