Term-Time Only (38 weeks per year)

Salary:

Competitive, based on experience

Hours:

32.5 hours a week Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri 8.30 - 4 and Thur 8.30 - 1 (term time)

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our preschool provision, ensuring children receive high-quality care and early education in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment. You will lead a passionate team, build strong partnerships with families, and ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team to deliver outstanding care and education for 2-5 year olds. Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers. Support staff with planning, observations, and tracking children's development. Manage all aspects of nursery operations, including staffing, training, and administration. Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and local authority reviews.

About You:

Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or higher desirable). Previous leadership experience in a nursery or preschool setting. In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development. Confident in managing teams, working with parents, and meeting compliance standards. Passionate about providing enriching learning experiences for young children. Experience working in a term-time only environment is desirable.
