Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our magical nursery setting in Weybridge. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, ensuring high standards of care and education for children while supporting the nursery team. The Deputy Manager will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, engaging, and educational setting that promotes children's growth and well-being.

This is a full time role, working 40 hours per week, either split across 4 or 5 days. You MUST be at least Level 3 qualified in Childcare or Early Years to apply.

Duties

Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily centre operations and staff management Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that foster learning and development Supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and childcare standards Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children's needs Organise staff rotas and resource allocation to ensure smooth daily functioning Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve service quality Support recruitment processes by participating in interviews and inductions for new staff members Assist in managing administrative tasks such as record keeping, reporting, and budgeting

Experience

Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages Experience working directly with children, particularly in nursery or preschool environments Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
