The Deputy Manager plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for supporting Nursery Manager in managing staff, developing educational programmes, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Duties
Support setting manager in the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills in childcare.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to build strong relationships and address any concerns regarding their children's development.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Monitor children's progress and development through regular assessments and observations.
Organise activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning among children.
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Skills
Proven experience in leadership role within a nursery or childcare setting.
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
