Job Description

We are a local day nursery looking for an enthusiastic and creative cook to provide home cooked meals for our children aged 12 weeks - 5 years. The kitchen is at the heart of our nursery and plays a key part of keeping our children healthy and happy!! The role will include preparing snacks, lunch and a light tea, washing up, keeping the kitchen area clean and sterile and helping to plan a healthy and varied menu in collaboration with the nursery manager. Having a mindfulness of a range of food allergies and intolerances along with an understanding of ages and stages of weaning would be beneficial, however training will be given.

The role is for approximately 16 hours per week with no weekend work. The post holder will be required to complete a Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate and a DBS will be carried out as part of our safer recruitment process. (both are paid for by the company)
