Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our team who can take continuous care of our spacious four-storey nursery, located in Clifton.

As our Nursery Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the daily thorough cleaning of all nursery rooms including the staff areas, cloakrooms, and toilet areas. You will also monitor supplies of cleaning consumables as well as ensuring the nursery washing is completed daily and the laundry room is kept tidy and organised. The role will also include supporting the eating area during meal time, serving food, clearing and cleaning away after the children have eaten.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various environments, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous. Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including children's play rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces Change and replenish supplies such as toiletries and items (wetwipes etc) Maintain organisation of storage areas and cleaning supplies Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, mopped, and polished to meet cleanliness standards Preparing lunch and tea meals for children (serving food and cleaning at meal times) Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, including deep cleans or specialised treatments Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in janitorial services, housekeeping, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Previous experience working with young children Skills in cooking or food preparation are considered a bonus but are not mandatory Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple tasks Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment is advantageous
