Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their growth and learning through engaging activities. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong management and leadership skills, along with excellent communication abilities in English. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs related to the role.

Responsibilities

Supervise and care for children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development in areas such as social skills, motor skills, and early learning concepts Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Assist with daily routines including meal times, nappy changes, and sleep schedules Support colleagues in managing the nursery's daily operations and uphold organisational policies Manage behavioural issues with patience and professionalism, fostering positive behaviour among children Occasionally assist with administrative tasks related to nursery management

Requirements

Experience with children, preferably within a nursery or early childhood education setting Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and compassionately Knowledge of childcare practices, health & safety regulations, and early childhood development principles Childcare qualification or relevant early childhood education certification is desirable Ability to demonstrate patience, organisation, and a nurturing attitude towards young children Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes when required
