About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Kitchen Assistant to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our children receive healthy, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment, working alongside our Nursery Cook and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks for children. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Support with menu planning and food stock/ ordering. Follow food safety guidelines and allergy procedures. Work closely with nursery cook & staff to meet children's dietary needs Support with ensuring the laundry is completed daily To be able to cover the nursery cook in emergencies/ holidays
What We're Looking For
Experience in a kitchen or catering environment (nursery/education setting desirable) Flexibility and reliability Ability to work as part of a team and independently Communicate effectively Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards A caring attitude and commitment to supporting children's wellbeing Successful applicant will need to provide two references prior to joining our family (one
MUST
be the most recent employer), and a DBS will be undertaken (paid for by us)Benefits
