We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen teams at a family run children's nursery group.

Be Me Day Nurseries is an Award Winning provider of high quality early years learning and care. In line with our commitment to ensuring that our children receive a healthy and nutritious diet we are looking to recruit a mobile Nursery assistant Chef to assist our kitchen team in St Albans. The role would entail working within our nursery kitchen to deliver delicious home cooked food each day for the children we care for.

Your role will include:

Providing nutritionally balanced meals and snacks to the children within the nursery throughout the day An excellent understanding of food intolerances, allergies and dietary requirements Responsibility for the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, the kitchen and food storage areas. Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and legislation Monday to Friday between 9am-6pm (Flexibility for either more or less hours may be available) Competitive salary (between 26,000-27,000 p/a subject to experience)
Applicants must have:

Previous experience of working in a commercial kitchen, preferably working within Early Years, Schools or Elderly care. Hold a basic Food Hygiene certificate Be passionate about preparing fresh, balanced, nutritious meals for the babies and children in the nursery Good hygiene practice is essential
