We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee and nurture our young children in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise daily activities within the nursery room, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
Organise age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Manage a team of nursery assistants, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, including hygiene standards and safeguarding policies.
Plan and implement routines that support children's individual needs and interests.
Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, attendance tracking, and reporting.
Foster positive behaviour management strategies aligned with organisational policies.
Support the ongoing professional development of team members through mentoring and training.
Qualifications
Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
Extensive experience working with children, preferably in early childhood education or childcare roles.
Strong understanding of child development principles and nursery best practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or supplies when required.
A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage daily operations effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and professionalism.
