Scallywags Day Nursery in Oakham currently have vacancies for qualified and unqualified Lunch or Bank Staff to join our team.

As an Early Years Practitioner you will:

Provide Children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children within their age group. Ensure observations/ evaluations are regularly completed and records are kept up to date. Operate a keyworker system and liaise with parents/carers about their child's development and encourage them to participate in their child's learning and development Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
Ideally you will have the following:

Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 2 or above Have gained experience within a nursery setting An understanding of the EYFS An understanding of OFSTED policies and regulations Knowledge of Child Protection, Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures Ability to work well within a team as well as using own initiative Have good communication skills
In addition you will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and creative, with the commitment to provide the highest standards of childcare.

We are currently looking to offer regular hours as lunch cover or morning or afternoon break cover during the week. We may also be able to offer hours as Nursery Bank Staff, and the working hours would take into account the needs of the nursery and your availability each week or month.

All employment is offered subject to the completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, 2 written references and a 3 month probationary period.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25-12.60 per hour
