We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care during the middle of our day, supporting our rooms over our team's lunchbreaks.
Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure their safety and wellbeing
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and social interaction
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet individual needs
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians
Skills
Proven experience with children, ideally within a nursery or early childhood setting
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of childcare regulations, early childhood education principles, and best practices
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Childcare qualifications or relevant early childhood education credentials are desirable
