We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic

Lunchtime Assistant

to join our friendly nursery team. This rewarding

part-time role

is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a real difference in their day.

In addition to lunchtime duties, the successful candidate will also provide

bank cover as a Nursery Assistant

on Thursdays or as required. This makes the role ideal for someone with flexibility who enjoys supporting children in different aspects of their nursery experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in setting up the lunch area for children. Serve meals safely and hygienically. Sit with children during lunch to encourage positive eating habits and social interaction. Support children with feeding when necessary. Clear away and clean the dining area and utensils after meals. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene to a high standard. Work as a

Nursery Assistant

when providing bank cover, supporting children's care, learning, and play in line with EYFS standards.

What We're Looking For

A friendly and nurturing approach with a genuine passion for working with young children. A team player who is reliable, punctual, and proactive.

Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting

(essential).

Paediatric First Aid certificate

(or willingness to complete a one-day training course prior to starting, self-funded). DBS Certificate (or willingness to apply prior to starting the role) Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety (training will be provided, nursery funded).

Hours & Contract

Part-time, Monday to Thursday, 11:30 am - 2 pm. Additional bank hours on Thursdays (8am-6pm) or as required. Salary 25,396 pro-rata (NMW based on hours worked)
