Mother Goose Day Nursery is a 33 place setting in the heart of Aldershot, for children aged two - rising fives. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to oversee our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, while also managing staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Duties

Manage daily operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare regulations within the nursery setting. Maintain accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and staff performance. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.
Experience

Proven experience in a childcare setting, preferably in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively while promoting teamwork and professional development. A background in working with children is essential; qualifications in early childhood education are highly desirable. A valid driving licence is advantageous for attending off-site meetings or events.

This is an opportunity for someone new to the role or someone who already has experience but must have a level 3 or above in childcare, GCSE Maths or equivalent and has had great experience of working within a nursery or childcare setting.
