We're looking for a Day Nursery/Pre-school manager for our small but beautiful setting in Shillingstone. The ideal candidate should be a natural leader with a passion for helping children to learn and thrive. This individual will have a strong understanding of child development and will be capable of nurturing young children, developing the whole child emotionally, intellectually, socially and physically and providing education for the most vulnerable, underserved children in our community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION : NVQ L3 WITH 2 YEARS MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE as either Deputy or manager of a similar sized setting.

Staff shifts are between 8.00 to 5.30 Monday to Friday year round on a rota basis.

Closed 1 week August 1 week in December.

Ideally 38-42 hours per week but part time Job share considered.

Responsibilities:

Create safe and nurturing classroom and outdoor environment. Model positive behaviour for preschoolers. Teach preschoolers pre-academic and social skills. Handle issues that arise in setting. Inspire and lead a small team of staff Carry out supervisions and Appraisals Treat parents, children and colleagues with respect. Monitor all aspects of the nursery including safeguarding, health and safety, education, well-being of staff and children. Ensure children are fed and clean at the end of the day.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 31,000.00-34,288.00 per year
