Are you an experienced Nursery Manager looking for a new and exciting role?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to join the team at our amazing 90-place nursery. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, child-centred environment for children while managing daily operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires effective communication and the ability to drive a team towards achieving high standards of care and education. The Nursery Manager will lead a collaborative team to create a nurturing, child-centred environment.
A Day at Nursery would include:
Fully understanding the Policies and Procedures and following them when running the nursery.
Managing and overseeing the daily running of the nursery.
Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and the staff team, fostering strong relationships, and addressing any concerns or feedback.
Completing staff supervision regularly and ensuring communication with the staff team is kept to a high standard.
Leading staff meetings every month.
Staff delegation and deployment to ensure all rooms are working within the adult to child ratios.
Conducting peer observations and management spot checks. Focusing on the quality of interaction and the high levels of practice.
Conducting clipboard tests on the staff team to improve knowledge.
Mentoring and training the staff team whilst encouraging and upskilling practice.
Organizing parent events.
Monitoring all daily and weekly checks are completed to a high standard.
Conducting effective viewings of the nursery.
Assisting with the enquiries process, and following up with parents after their viewing.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the nursery setting.
Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
Collaborate with external agencies when necessary to support children's needs.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's occupancy and reputation within the community.
What we would ask from you:
A minimum of a Level 3 in Early Years is essential.
Previous experience of working as a Nursery Manager is essential.
Having good ICT skills is essential.
Being a positive role model to your team.
Effectively lead and manage the diverse staff team.
An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS, Ofsted, and welfare requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team, and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working
Able to communicate effectively at all levels (parents, children, colleagues and senior management)
We take safeguarding very seriously and a current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential.
