About the Role:
As Nursery Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery. You will work closely with your Deputy Manager and senior team to ensure the highest standards of care, education and operational excellence. You'll be central to shaping our nursery culture, supporting your staff team to grow and thrive, and ensuring that every child in our setting receives an exceptional early years experience.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor and inspire your staff team to deliver outstanding education and care.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth running of all rooms and adherence to all OFSTED and statutory requirements.
Drive high-quality teaching and learning through strong knowledge of the EYFS and best early years practice.
Marketing and increasing nursery occupancy rates
Leading events within the local community
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and compliance standards are always met and embedded.
Build Educators of the future by ensuring our apprentices are well supported
Recruit and retain a skilled staff team
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and the wider community.
Support staff development through coaching, training and performance management.
Monitor and improve quality through regular audits, observations and reflective practice.
Work closely with the leadership team to implement nursery-wide initiatives and continuous improvement.
Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where children, families and staff feel valued.
Manage administrative duties including staffing, ratios, budgets, policies and record-keeping.
About You:
Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (or equivalent) - essential.
Strong leadership skills with previous experience in a senior early years role.
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
Confident in managing a team and supporting staff development.
Highly organised, proactive and able to maintain a calm, positive environment.
Passionate about delivering outstanding early education and committed to continuous improvement.
