Nursery Manager - Lead, Develop, and Deliver Outstanding Early Years Practice
We are recruiting for a confident and experienced Nursery Manager to lead a well-established early years setting. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to step into a senior leadership role and drive continuous improvement across care, education, and operational delivery.
About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will take overall responsibility for both the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the nursery. You will lead a dedicated team, maintain high standards across all areas of practice, and ensure full compliance with Ofsted and EYFS regulations. This role requires a proactive leader with strong decision-making skills and a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all nursery operations, including staffing, curriculum development, compliance, and parent engagement.
Ensure consistently high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety standards across the nursery.
Support, mentor, and develop staff through training, supervision, and performance reviews.
Deliver and oversee an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
Manage occupancy levels and support local marketing and engagement strategies.
Maintain accurate administrative, developmental, and financial records.
Build and sustain strong relationships with families and external agencies.
Promote a collaborative, reflective, and improvement-focused team culture.
Person Specification
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 5 or above preferred).
Proven experience in a nursery leadership or management role.
Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to motivate, support, and develop staff teams.
Passionate about delivering high-quality early years education and care.
