Nursery Manager - Lead, Develop and Deliver Outstanding Early Years Practice

We are recruiting for an experienced and confident

Nursery Manager

to lead a well-established Early Years setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed childcare professional to take on a senior leadership role and drive excellence across education, care, safeguarding, and operational performance.

About the Role

As Nursery Manager, you will have full responsibility for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery. You will lead, motivate, and develop a team of Early Years professionals while ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and compliance are consistently delivered.

This role requires a proactive and inspirational leader with strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and a genuine passion for creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children, families, and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and management of the nursery, including staffing, curriculum delivery, compliance, and parent partnerships Ensure high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Maintain robust safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety practices Lead, support, and develop staff through supervision, training, and performance management Oversee the planning and delivery of an engaging, child-centred curriculum that meets individual learning needs Manage occupancy levels and support local marketing and community engagement initiatives Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative, developmental, and financial records Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals Promote a positive, reflective, and continuous improvement culture across the team
Person Specification

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 5 or above preferred) Proven experience in a nursery leadership or management role Strong working knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams Passionate about delivering outstanding Early Years education and care
