Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery alongside the director. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a solid background in early childhood education and experience working with children. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a nurturing environment for both staff and children.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare. Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff, promoting professional development and teamwork. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children. Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on their children's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children, adhering to health and safety standards. Oversee administrative tasks including budgeting, record keeping, and staff scheduling. Collaborate with local authorities and community organisations to enhance nursery services.

Requirements

Proven management experience within a nursery or similar childcare setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare capacity. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills.
