We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong management and leadership skills, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role involves coordinating staff, engaging with parents, and maintaining high standards of childcare and early childhood education. A passion for working with children and a background in nursery settings are essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staff scheduling and supervision
Lead a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote early childhood development
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a welcoming environment
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure setting for children
Organise activities that encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth
Oversee administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance tracking, and reporting
Maintain communication with parents regarding their child's progress and wellbeing
Drive the organisation's policies on safeguarding and child protection
Experience
Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting
Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Experience working directly with children across various age groups
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff teams
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties or outreach activities
Previous experience in childcare management roles is highly desirable
