Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of childcare professionals, ensure high standards of care, and create a nurturing environment for children. Applicants must have relevant nursery experience and excellent communication skills in English.

Duties

Manage the overall running of the nursery, including staff supervision, scheduling, and resource allocation Lead and motivate a team of childcare practitioners to deliver high-quality care and educational programmes Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing Organise staff training sessions to support professional development Oversee administrative tasks such as record keeping, budgeting, and reporting Drive the nursery's ethos of inclusivity, safety, and educational excellence

Qualifications

Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire a team Extensive experience working with children in early childhood environments Knowledge of childcare regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education principles Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Childcare or nursery qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher) Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as required
