Brighter Days Daycare is a newly approved early years setting in the West Midlands, offering high-quality childcare for children aged 0 - 5. We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and motivated Nursery Manager to lead our brand-new setting as we prepare for opening.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who wants to help build a warm, inspiring, child-centred environment from the ground up.

About the Role
As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and education in line with Ofsted and EYFS requirements. You will lead a small team, support with planning and room setup, and help grow the nursery as children enrol.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Oversee daily running of the nursery and ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards
Lead, support, supervise, and inspire the staff team
Carry out inductions, supervisions, appraisals, and ongoing staff training
Safeguarding & Compliance
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or be willing to train
Maintain all health, safety, and risk assessments
Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented effectively
EYFS & Curriculum
Ensure high-quality learning experiences
Support planning, observations, and assessments
Create stimulating, age-appropriate environments
Parent Partnerships
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Conduct show-arounds, settle-ins, and feedback sessions
Communicate professionally and warmly
Administration
Maintain nursery records, registers, and reports
Support enrolment, admissions, and occupancy growth
Work with the owner on nursery development and targets

Requirements
? Level 3 Early Years Qualification (essential)
? Level 5+ Early Years / Management qualification (desirable)
? Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior nursery role
? Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
? Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
? DBS check and two references (required before start)
? Right to work in the UK
