Overview:

Our client in Erith is seeking an experienced and dedicated

Nursery Manager

to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of their early years setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development, have strong leadership skills, and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operation of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children Lead and support the staff team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and external agencies Ensure compliance with all Ofsted, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations Monitor and improve the quality of teaching and learning across the nursery Manage budgets, occupancy levels, and resources effectively Keep accurate records and prepare for inspections and audits

Requirements:

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent Previous experience in a managerial or deputy managerial role within an early years setting Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and current early years legislation Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
