We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high standards of childcare, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood education. The Nursery Manager will play a vital role in maintaining the centre's reputation for excellence and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities
Lead and supervise nursery staff to ensure effective team performance and professional development
Develop and implement educational programmes that promote early childhood development
Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the nursery environment
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and external agencies to support children's wellbeing and development
Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, health and safety regulations, and nursery policies
Organise staff training sessions, and meetings to promote continuous improvement
Monitor children's progress and maintain detailed records of developmental milestones
Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages learning through play and exploration
To be the designated safeguarding lead and continue the strong safeguarding ethos in the environment and ensure all staff training is up to date
Skills
Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare setting
Extensive experience working with children and understanding of child development principles
Ability to effectively lead the setting in an Ofsted inspection and prepare staff for the day
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and best practices
Ability to motivate and lead a team while maintaining a positive working environment
