The role is for a Leader and Manager of our wonderful setting, which opened in 2023. Our current manager is 'retiring' from Nursery Management in 2026 and we are looking for a dynamic, passionate and dedicated individual to take us into the next chapter of our journey. The current Manager will provide support for a gentle and considerate handover, having grown the Nursery with the Director from its opening in September 2023.
We are looking to recruit an excellent role model who can lead and deepen practice and who can manage day-to-day managerial tasks, supervision of a team, work towards goals and targets and critically reflect on propelling a provision forward on a clear mission with purpose and drive. You will be able to influence the vision and direction of our Nursery and ensure excellent standards through policy, systems and processes. You will already be passionate about personalisation of care and be an advocate and/or supporter of Outdoor Education.

You will have a proven track record in leading and managing high standards within an early years provision. Lead a curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Nursery's vision.
Ensure that the observation, assessment, and planning process follows agreed policy and best practice.
Purchase, maintain, and store resources that align with the Nursery's vision and promote sustainability.
Understand the needs of children, families, and the team to provide unique learning experiences, close gaps, ensure smooth transitions, and meet values.
Use key assessment points and milestones to identify needs, plan with SMART targets, and monitor development.
Support positive behaviour in children, the team, and parents to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone.
Address concerns and complaints professionally and reflect on parents' needs.
Deploy staff according to children's needs and stages of development.
Maintain high standards of care and education and set high expectations for all children.
Demonstrate excellent leadership and modelling practices.
Demonstrate excellent management skills, including time management, maintaining systems, inputting information, and interpreting data.
Lead staff meetings to share information, develop practice, and address issues professionally.
Manage the team's performance, including professional development, accountability, and adherence to roles and responsibilities.
Continually improve, self-reflect, and always maintain professionalism.
Experience & Skills Required:
CACHE / NNEB/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Maths GCSE
Working towards or at Early Years Professional Status or Early Years Foundation Degree.
Minimum 3 years' post qualification experience
Minimum 2 years' experience as a manager
Significant and recent experience of working with children aged 0 to 5 years.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Exceptional knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Health & Safety legislation
Outstanding implementation of the OFSTED standards
Strong people management skills
