We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, while leading a team of staff members. This role requires strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for early childhood development. The Nursery Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of childcare and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Duties
Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards and policies
Lead, motivate, and support nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education programmes
Develop and implement educational plans tailored to children's developmental needs
Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance appraisals
Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and wellbeing
Organise staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to within the nursery environment
Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, budgeting, and resource procurement
Foster a positive team environment that promotes professional development and continuous improvement
Experience
Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
Extensive experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments
Knowledge of nursery regulations and child safeguarding procedures
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience in developing educational activities tailored to various age groups
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as needed
