About Everbloom



Everbloom is a new warm, home-from-home unique nursery and wraparound childcare service offering flexible support to families from sunrise to sunset.

Opening March/April 2026.



We provide nursery hours, morning sessions, after-school care until 8pm, holiday club, weekend childcare and evening babysitting care.

About the Role



We are looking for an experienced, organised and nurturing Childcare & Nursery Manager to lead the daytime operation of our nursery (9am-5pm) and work closely with the wider wraparound and babysitting team.

You will be responsible for the daily organisation of the nursery, leading the staff team, overseeing safeguarding, and acting as the Lead SENCO.

Work closely with our Senior Practitioner and team, and ensure consistency across morning, daytime and early evening care.

This role does not require early mornings, late evenings or weekend work.

Leadership Responsibilities



As a Nursery Manager, you will:

- Lead, mentor, support, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional care and education

- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) during your shift

- Serve as the Lead SENCO, coordinating support for children with additional needs

- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring consistent quality and compliance

- Support the implementation of high-quality EYFS practice

- Manage staff development, training and supervision

- Maintain strong partnerships with parents, colleagues and professionals (including Local Authority SEND teams)

- Support the operational and commercial success of the nursery, including occupancy growth and effective resource management

- Contribute to succession planning and professional development throughout the team

Safeguarding & SENCO Duties



- Lead safeguarding and child protection procedures

- Identify and support children with SEND, additional needs or emerging concerns

- Coordinate individual support plans and external referrals

- Work closely with the Deputy SENCO (Senior Practitioner) on monitoring children's progress

- Ensure all staff understand and follow SEND strategies and inclusive practice

- Maintain accurate SEND and safeguarding records

Operational & EYFS Responsibilities



- Lead planning, observations, assessment cycles and key person practice

- Ensure learning environments are safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate

- Maintain compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and legislative requirements

- Support transitions, settling-in routines and family communication

- Review and update policies and risk assessments

Parent Partnerships



- Build warm, professional relationships with families

- Communicate regularly regarding children's progress and wellbeing

- Support families with SEND processes, referrals, transitions and external agencies

- Handle enquiries, bookings and concerns with professionalism

Requirements



Level 3 or Level 5 in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5 preferred)
Experience leading a nursery room or team
Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, SEND and wider legislative requirements for working with children
Confident as DSL or willing to complete DSL training
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience working with SEND children and inclusive practice
Passion for high-quality childcare and early education
