Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a background in early childhood education and experience working with children. This role requires excellent communication abilities and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for young learners.

Responsibilities

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure that all staff members are trained in nursery policies and procedures, as well as safeguarding practices. Oversee the daily activities within the nursery, ensuring that children are engaged in age-appropriate learning experiences. Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and resource allocation. Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of care and education provided at the nursery.

Requirements

Proven management experience within a childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare environment is required. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to build strong relationships with parents, children, and staff members. A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development is essential.
