Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high standards of childcare, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for children. This role offers an opportunity to lead a passionate team committed to early childhood development and education.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance Develop and implement educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors Oversee daily activities, including playtime, learning sessions, and meal times Foster positive relationships with children's families through regular communication and updates Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and nursery policies Manage administrative duties such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and staff scheduling Coordinate with external agencies or specialists when necessary for specialised childcare or developmental support Ensure and review progress checks and observations.

Requirements

Level 3 Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare) or equivalent Safeguarding lead training completed Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations Experience working with children across various age groups Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively whilst maintaining high standards of care. Passionate about child development with a caring, patient demeanour

Pay: Up to 28,000.00 per year
