Nursery Manager

About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be a key member of the senior management team, working closely with the Directors to lead, develop, and inspire the nursery team. You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the setting, ensuring outstanding standards of care, learning, compliance, and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
Work in partnership with the Directors to manage the daily operations of the nursery to the highest standards
Lead, support, and motivate the staff team, driving continuous improvement in quality and practice
Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance, including
Ofsted, EYFS, SEND, Safeguarding, and Health & Safety
Champion inclusive practice, supporting children with SEND and working collaboratively with staff and external professionals
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and carers through open communication and partnership working
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that meets the developmental needs of all children
Monitor staff performance through regular supervision, appraisals, mentoring, and professional development
Maintain accurate records and administrative systems in line with company policy and regulatory requirements
Essential Requirements
NVQ/CACHE
Level 3 in Childcare
Minimum
3 years' experience
working in a childcare setting
At least
2 years' experience
in a management, supervisory, or senior role
Strong working knowledge of the
EYFS framework
and Ofsted requirements
Experience supporting children with
SEND
and implementing inclusive practice
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
A confident, supportive leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a team
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
Desirable
Level 5 qualification
in Leadership for Children and Young People's Services (or working towards)
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training
Experience leading Ofsted inspections
