Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of child development. This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to lead a team, and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a welcoming community. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and attendance. Organise activities that encourage social, emotional, and physical development. Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating for children. Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and reporting to management.

Experience

Previous managerial experience in a nursery or early years setting is essential. A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Child Development. Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies. Ability to work collaboratively with parents and external agencies to support children's needs.
