We are looking for an experienced and motivated Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a vibrant and welcoming early years setting. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong background in early childhood education who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and learning experiences.
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated practitioners, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, and creating a safe, engaging environment where children can thrive.
Main Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the nursery's daily operations, including staffing, curriculum delivery, and health and safety
Ensure full compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Ofsted standards, and safeguarding regulations
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to staff through effective supervision, appraisals, and professional development
Plan and implement a rich and engaging curriculum tailored to meet the developmental needs of each child
Oversee nursery administration, including rotas, financial management, and reporting
Build strong, professional relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community
Monitor occupancy levels and lead local marketing initiatives to promote the nursery and increase enrolments
Ensure high standards of record-keeping, planning, observations, and assessments
What We're Looking For
A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 5 or above desirable)
Previous experience in a nursery management or senior leadership role within an early years setting
Excellent working knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on mentoring and development
High levels of organisation, professionalism, and attention to detail
