Blossoms on the Lane are looking for a dedicated, creative and inspirational Nursery Manager. The right candidate will have a genuine passion for Early Years education, ensuring the highest quality of care and teaching is delivered at all times, along with the professionalism, confidence and skills to communicate effectively with our parents, carers, children and staff to continue the sustained success of Blossoms on the Lane.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our childcare facility. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education, and foster a safe, nurturing environment for children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for child development and childcare. The Nursery Manager will play a vital role in maintaining organisational standards and supporting staff to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities



Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations Develop and implement engaging educational programmes aligned with early childhood development principles Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a welcoming environment Manage administrative tasks including planning rotas, maintaining records, and ensuring regulatory compliance Organise staff meetings and training sessions to promote continuous professional development Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating for children's learning and play Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development Named person in charge responsible for all operational and regulatory requirements Lead, engage and inspire the team to deliver exceptional care

Skills



Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare or nursery setting Extensive experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Knowledge of nursery regulations and health & safety standards Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively Driving licence is advantageous for operational flexibility

Full time position, working 40 hours per week.

Essential Qualifications - Minimum Early Years Level 3 childcare qualification as recognised by the Department for Education.

Essential Experience - Minimum of two years' experience of working in an Early Years setting in a manager or deputy role, or at least two years' other suitable experience. Knowledge and experience of; delivering the EYFS, Ofsted inspections and working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Blossoms on the Common has rigorous pre-employment checks. All our employees are required to have a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check returned and 2 satisfactory references in place before an offer can be formally confirmed.

We also expect our staff to be registered with the update service for the duration of their employment. This ensures we maintain our high standard of care provision.
