I am currently expanding my childcare team and seeking a qualified assistant to join as my fourth team member.
This role is crucial as I prepare for registration with the CoDP, and I'm looking for someone who can bring strong leadership and developmental insight to our setting.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), particularly with children aged 9 months to 4 years. A working knowledge of 2-year progress checks and a deep understanding of early childhood development are essential. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will directly shape the learning environment and developmental outcomes for our children.
Key skills we are looking for:
- EYFS management experience in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong understanding of child development milestones from infancy to preschool
Manage the daily running of the nursery,
Lead and motivate a team of childcare practitioners to deliver excellent care and educational programmes
Oversee the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and legal requirements
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and wellbeing
Monitor staff performance through regular appraisals and provide ongoing training opportunities
Organise staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development initiatives
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating for children at all times

Skills
Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
Strong Knowledge with Ofsted inspection criteria
Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively
Extensive experience working with children, including knowledge of child development principles
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Sound understanding of childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety standards
Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
