Job Summary

We are seeking a Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The hours required would be Monday to Friday with a minimum of 30 hours a week, or up to 40 if preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to manage and lead a team effectively. This role requires excellent communication skills, as well as a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Drive the development and implementation of educational programmes that promote children's growth and learning. Lead, mentor, and support staff in their professional development while fostering a collaborative team environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed. Monitor children's behaviour and development, implementing strategies to support their individual needs.

Requirements

Proven experience in managing a nursery or similar childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Experience working with children is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members. Hold a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.
