Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Duties

Lead and supervise nursery staff to ensure effective teamwork and high standards of care Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote children's development and learning Oversee daily nursery activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and nursery policies Manage administrative tasks including staffing rotas, record keeping, and budgeting Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating for children Organise staff training sessions to promote continuous professional development

Skills

Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare setting Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices Experience working with children across various age groups Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively Organised with strong administrative skills Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable Valid driving licence with clean driving record is preferred Passionate about child development and creating a positive learning environment
