Castle Nursery in Shamley Green is seeking an experienced and motivated
Nursery Manager
to lead our dedicated team and uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional early years care and education.
Situated within the grounds of Wonersh & Shamley Green Primary School, our purpose-built, single-storey setting offers full disabled access and a nurturing environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We have dedicated rooms for under-twos and over-twos, each thoughtfully equipped to support age-appropriate development and learning.
Our extensive outdoor play areas are integral to our provision, offering:
Free-flow access for over-twos
Construction, sand and water zones
Cosy reading areas
Sensory and creative spaces
Mud kitchen
Gross-motor play equipment with a new safety surface
Loose-parts play opportunities
We also provide regular
Forest School sessions
in nearby woodland, encouraging children to explore and develop confidence in the natural environment. Our thriving allotment further supports hands-on learning across the EYFS, allowing children to plant, grow and harvest produce while fostering sustainability.
About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will:
Provide strong, supportive leadership to a committed staff team
Ensure consistently high-quality teaching and learning
Champion children's well-being, development and safeguarding
Build positive relationships with families, staff and the wider community
Maintain high standards of compliance, safety and operational efficiency
About You
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic leader who:
Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification or above (Level 5 desirable)
Has proven experience in a nursery management or senior role
Demonstrates a strong understanding of high-quality early years practice
Values outdoor and child-led learning
Is professional, well-organised and committed to continual improvement
