We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within a vibrant childcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure high-quality childcare delivery.
Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote learning, development, and well-being for children.
Oversee daily operations including planning activities, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and nursery policies.
Organise staff rotas, manage recruitment processes, and conduct performance appraisals.
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, developmental milestones, and health information.
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating for all children.
Drive the nursery vehicle when necessary for outings or errands related to nursery activities.
Requirements
Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
Experience working with children in a childcare environment is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Valid driving licence with the ability to operate a vehicle safely.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are a necessity, if B.A in childcare, or equivalent, not obtained, this will need t be undertaken in house.
