An exciting opportunity to arisen for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our nursery, initially covering in the absence of the named manager.

The ideal candidate would have experience working with children aged 0-5 years and will have a genuine passion about leading others within the team to achieve and maintain high quality early learning and childcare.

The manager must hold a BA Childhood Practice degree or be willing to work towards this.

A general overview of the role

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, including organisation and deployment of staff.
- Supervise and train nursery staff, ensuring that all staff are competent and confident within their role.
- Develop and implement strategies to further develop the nursery, making links with families and within the local community
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Monitor children's learning and development and support staff in assessing children's progress in line with early years guidance such as the Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition.
- Support the wellbeing of the staff team, children and families, ensuring that children or staff who need additional support recieve this support at the right time for them.
- Coordinate with other professionals to safeguard children and demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures and legislation
- Manage nursery budgets and expenses.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in nursery management or leadership position
- Strong knowledge of early years guidance, child development and learning needs
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient computer skills to enable accurate communication and record-keeping.
- Ability to lead from the front, ensuring the team are supported to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
- Ability to manage time well, communicate well with others and maintain a professional attitude at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 40,000.00 per year
