About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced

Nursery Manager

to lead the day-to-day running of our

small, friendly 30-place day nursery

on a

term-time-only basis

.

This role is ideal for a hands-on manager who enjoys working closely with children, families and a small staff team, and who takes pride in maintaining high standards while supporting the growth and sustainability of the setting.

Key Responsibilities

Overall management of a

30-place day nursery

, ensuring compliance with

EYFS

, safeguarding and

Ofsted

requirements Lead, motivate and support a small staff team, including supervision and daily organisation Maintain high standards of care, learning and child wellbeing Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (or be willing to undertake training) Maintain accurate records, policies and procedures Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers and professionals Oversee daily operations, staff rotas and attendance Support funding claims and general nursery administration

Actively support nursery occupancy and sustainability

by: Promoting the nursery to prospective families Supporting enquiries, admissions and nursery show-arounds Building positive community relationships Working with management to

maximise occupancy within the 30-place setting

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Early Years qualification

(minimum) Experience as a

Nursery Manager

, or a

Deputy Manager ready to step up

Strong knowledge of

EYFS

, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations Confident leadership and organisational skills Ability to manage a small setting efficiently
