We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within our clients nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while ensuring the smooth running of the nursery. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, children, and parents are essential.
Duties
Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of childcare and education.
Develop and implement educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of children in care.
Oversee daily activities, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and wellbeing.
Manage administrative tasks including staffing rotas, record keeping, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Organise staff training sessions to promote professional development within the team.
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, organised, and fully equipped for children's activities.
Drive organisational initiatives to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
Experience
Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Extensive experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments.
Knowledge of child development principles and early learning frameworks.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Valid driving licence is preferred for travel between multiple nursery locations or community engagement activities.
Experience with child safeguarding policies and procedures is essential.
