We are currently recruiting passionate and caring Nursery Practitioners to join a warm, friendly, and professional team in Alton. Whether you're newly qualified or an experienced Room Leader, we welcome applications from all levels of experience.
About the Role
You'll support the daily needs of children aged 6 months to 4 years in a well-established nursery setting. Working closely with colleagues, you'll help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where each child can thrive physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities alongside the Room Leader
Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all children in your care
Provide a warm and welcoming environment for children and families
Support children's developmental milestones through daily routines
Adjust planned activities to meet individual learning needs
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Undertake domestic tasks such as snack prep, dishwasher duties, and light laundry
Attend staff meetings and CPD training as required
Reflect on and improve your own practice through feedback and evaluation
Work flexible shifts between 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday (60-minute lunch break)
Be ready to take on any reasonable tasks delegated by senior nursery or school staff
About You
Experience in childcare or early years education is essential
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years preferred
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Ability to manage small groups effectively with warmth and confidence
Team player with the initiative to work independently when needed
Passionate about children's development and wellbeing
A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
