Job Summary

We are an Education recruitment company seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse Apprentice to join a client team in Guildford. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support for children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and responsive care to children in the nursery, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, supporting the developmental milestones of each child. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build positive relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Manage daily routines, including feeding, nappy changing, and nap times, while maintaining a clean and organised environment. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and sharing insights with parents and other staff members. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings while demonstrating leadership in guiding less experienced staff. Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity and encourages participation from all children.

Requirements

No qualifications necessary, this will aid you in gaining your level 2/3 chi8ldcare qualification. However, a pass at GCSE maths and English is preferred, but not necessary. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and foster professional development among peers. A genuine passion for childcare with the ability to engage children through creative activities. An understanding of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
