Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for nurturing young children. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and effective communication.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in the nursery setting. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Manage daily routines, including feeding, changing, and nap times, while ensuring hygiene standards are maintained. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and sharing insights with parents. Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive team environment. Lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviour and encouraging children to engage in cooperative play. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and organised at all times.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with children and parents. Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting children if required. Leadership skills to manage activities and guide less experienced staff members are desirable. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently is essential.
