Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Operations Manager to oversee the daily running of our childcare facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children. Duties



Lead and supervise senior nursery staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment To bring passion and drive to the nurseries Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with childcare regulations Implement Ofsted Inspection toolkit and ensure the nurseries are meeting high standards Oversee the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote children's development Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the nursery premises Manage administrative tasks including staff rotas, attendance records, and parent communication, funding forms and meeting deadlines Monitor and ensure all children with SEN paperwork is completed and attend meetings Be a designated Safeguarding Lead Be a key holder for both nurseries Ensure effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and nursery activities Organise staff training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge in early childhood education Monitor budget and resources to ensure efficient operation of the nursery Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency

Qualifications



Proven management experience within a childcare setting Strong leadership abilities with excellent organisational skills Experience working with children, ideally with background in childcare or early childhood education Knowledge of nursery regulations, health & safety standards, and child protection policies, EYFS and Ofsted Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written Valid driving licence with the ability to travel between nursery locations if required Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are highly desirable Passionate about child development and creating a nurturing environment for young children Will need a DBS and references
